Záchrana Homannovho atlasu

Recovery of Homann’s Atlas
Abstract: 

The article presents the historical specialities of leather binding which consists of 23 text pages and the set of 100 double sheets of coloured printed maps stuck on wing. The full-leather book plates are the most remarkable elements of binding. The plates were done by sticking together the leather area with the sheet of handmade paper and in the back part extended to flap. Flexible book plates due to oversized format and block weight protect the book block inadequately.

Úvod

Medzi ďalšiu veľmi vzácnu a zaujímavú historickú tlač, ktorá bola reštaurovaná v SNK na oddelení reštaurovania, patrí aj historický atlas z 18. storočia, Atlas Homannianus Mathematico-Historice delineatus. Atlas mapparum geographicarum generalium specialium Centum Foliis compositum et quitidianis usibus accomodatum...Norimbergae. Vydaný bol pravdepodobne v roku 1789 a obsahuje 23 listov tlačeného textu a súbor 100 dvojlistov tlačených, farebne kolorovaných máp na ručnom papieri s ručne písaným číslovaním.
